Coleman Event Shelter, 

We have owned and used our event shelter for 2 seasons now and it is still like new!
Common sense needs to prevail if the wind gets up. We just unclip the cover and remove, leaving the frame erected until the weather settles down again.Its a great shelter to bring together family and friends and also a great topic of conversation on site. We must have had over a dozen enquiries as to where we obtained ours and to how much it cost!We found the shelter in stock and at a good price on line at Wild Camping.

The Coleman event shelter is superb, easy to erect and resists wind and rain, although the centre vent does let in a few drops in quite heavy rain We bought it for a barbeque birthday party and set it up on the morning of the party in less than 20 minutes. It started to rain and we moved food and drinks into the shelter, served 32 people a 4 course meal – some sat outside under 3 metere umbrellas. However it took all the guests in a queue dry and happy – would recommend this product – used the sidewall to protect against the prevailing wind. Stood up for 4 days until it had stopped raining and dried out. Even fits back into the bag provided.

Good shelter,

Only used this item once in fine weather since purchase. It ideally requires at least two people to erect. Material and frame are not bad quality for price, as is, unsure how it would hold up in slight/medium winds. It has good head room and best of all is a decent modern design. I purchased sides and floor for it which are easily attached, downside is sides add more stress to frame when buffeted by wind, it would probably require constant monitoring. Apart from that its a good shelter.

Sidewall and Shelter,

Event Shelter side wall review,

The side panels were attached to the erected Event Shelter and fitted well, as you would expect. However, the conditions had become windy and we noticed that the side panels tended to lift and allow gusts into the shelter. We (Our Classic Vehicle Club) felt that provision for metal skewer type pegs would have been an advantage using either eyelets or reinforced tape loops.

Coleman Sunwall Door,

Very pleased with the sunwall door for my Coleman Event Shelter. It provides shade and keeps the wind off but is not so tight fitting that it catches the wind and shakes the whole shelter – useful when you live on top of a hill! Very simple and quick to move from side to side, easier than shifting the mother-in-law as the sun traverses the sky! I bought another one recently, this makes the Event Shelter weather-proof enough to enjoy the fresh air without getting wet or cold. Just one tip, buy some longer tent pegs to hold the walls down in a stiff breeze.

Does the job,

The Coleman Shelter itself is a truly brilliant gazebo / marquee type structure – & very easy to assemble if there are 3 or 4 people. There are walls & doors – the door is really only necessary if the other 3 sides have walls and for most occasions a missing 4th wall will suffice. But both are quick & easy to clip on.

Event Shelter Door Panel, 

The door panel was attached to the shelter and fitted perfectly. As the door panel could be pegged down, the windy conditions presented no problems. However, when we tried to fasten the door back into an ‘open’ position, we found it rather difficult to do so.
